The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The place is consistently clean, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests.

This hotel is old, they are doing minimal maintenance, and it shows. When we arrived we found our room door difficult to open, the handle has to be worked “just so”, even from the inside. Better hope you don’t have to evacuate in an emergency. About half the holes in the rain shower were plugged resulting in barely a drip. The faucet in the bathroom sink was badly tarnished. The thermostat had a mind of its own. The decor is very dated, lots of 1990s brass and glass. Classy if you’re Tony Soprano. Despite the above there were many positives. The breakfast buffet was excellent (but expensive at $30 per person). The pool and hot tub were also great (but the bar service stopped at 4:00 and no food was available) with sunny and covered seating and real resort pool, not just a concrete square, and the grounds are very nice and maintained. The HVAC in the room was super quiet which is very rare in hotels so kudos for that. Some parts are understaffed but the staff that was there gave great service. At $200-250 a night or so I would have fewer complaints but we paid $300/night on a weekend when the place wasn’t even half full and that was too much for what we got, especially since our room was on the side overlooking I-85 instead of the golf course (even though many of them were empty on our floor). We booked directly with the hotel which is supposed to be the way to get the best price and rooms but I dunno about that in this case, that may have been the sucker way this time and it doesn’t feel good to be played.
